Included with every copy of Studio Suite 9 Network and Internet is the Web Request module. This provides additional functionality which can include allowing prospective clients to request various resources via your website. This article will run you through a basic request and the flow of Studio Suite when receiving a request.
Note: This article assumes that you have already installed the Add-ons for the server machine hosting Studio Suite 9. If that is not the case, then please see this related article for installation information.
Seen below is the Web Request webpage. While you can run this page on its own, you will likely want to have an easier-to-use link to this file on your website.

The date fields are already filled in because this page was called from the Web Glancer Calendar module, which passes through the date when requesting the URL. Your web designer can implement this functionality via a simple GET request to the page in the form of addrecord.php?eventDate=MM/DD/YYYY
Once a user fills in that page and hits Submit, an e-mail notification will get sent to the user selected in the Preferences tab in Studio Suite within the Web Request module, and the request will instantly show up in that module as well:

Clicking to the module will present you with the latest request received. You can fill in client details, or create a new client from this information. You can then confirm this request as New, Accepted, Denied or Canceled. Once the Accept Request button is pressed, an e-mail will be sent to whoever created the request if the appropriate checkbox is selected.

From there, booking of a new project begins. Please consult documentation in your Studio Suite 9 manual for more information on the booking process. |
